Our story
Designed and developed in the UK, Ffold® beds were created to provide an attractive and innovative solution for sleep in premium micro-housing developments in China, where space is limited.
Our beds have since found popularity in other sectors, across the globe, including office capsules (providing occasional overnight accommodation for away-from-home employees) and a cost-conscious redesign of our bed to help address the social housing crisis in the UK.

We have applied our Ffold® design fundamentals to create affordable, functional and comfortable beds, at scale, for social shelter and housing crisis social housing.
Our Ffold beds provide the opportunity to 'create space' by stowing the bed away whilst not in use. This allows for a reduced dwelling footprint, without sacrificing the function of the space, or quality of life for the inhabitant. More social housing units can be created; providing shelter to more people most in need.
